What you should be experiencing in church

Mass at Westminster Cathedral, London U.K.

"In the earthly liturgy we take part in a foretaste of that heavnly liturgy which is celebrated in the Holy City of Jerusalem toward which we journey as pilgrims, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God, Minister of the choirs and of the true tabernacle. With all the Warriors of the heavenly army we sing a hymn of glory to the Lord; venerating the memory of the saints we hope for some part and fellowhip with them; we eagerly await the saviour, Our Lord Jesus Christ..."

The Sibyl said...: Yes I admit that the cut of vestment is far too like the Boromaen style and no doubt the alb should be of lace.

It was the incese and altar that appealed to me - If you could bring yourself to look past the vested person perhaps you might see what I mean.

Personally I would have prefered a more byzantine or early Romanesque style vestment but I am not aware theat many are made.; 18 March 2010 at 17:44
